The Autocar Division of
a large group of Companies requires a person with accounting experience and
an intermediate qualification such as that of accounting technician or a
person studying to be a professional accountant. Persons with experience on
the use of Sage Accounting Software (Version 14) and /or Shireburne payroll
software will be preferred but, the company will assist in the provision of
the necessary training to the right candidate. The person chosen will be
working in a team. Duties will include:

The control and
deployment of the accounting and administrative staff.

The day to day running and supervision of the
accounts department.

Control on cash and the daily preparation of the
cash analysis sheet.

Preparation of daily deposits and statement of
bank receipts/bank payments.

Posting on Sage accounting software of invoices,
creditors and payments

Issue of bank payments
-
Reconciliation of debtors and creditors ledger
-
Credit Control and cash requirements
-
Bank reconciliation statements
-
Payroll
-
Preparation of accounts up to Trial Balance stage
-
Participation in the closure of the company’s
accounts and preparation of extended Trial Balance with the company’s
auditors
-
Other responsibilities as may be decided by the
management of the company/group
